The ministry of coal of has received details of the High Court of Karnataka, Bangalore order passed on 9th September, 2009 in case of the writ petition (W.P) filed by Surana Power Ltd. versus the government of India & others. In its order, the Court has directed the respondents (government) to consider the application of the petitioner company for allotment of coal block and coal linkage for its power plant. The Ministry of Coal is Respondent No 1 and consequent to the High court order, the petitioner company, Surana Power Ltd. has submitted applications for allocation of a suitable coal block. |
