Mr. Pinaki Bhadury is Head of Water Business of Wipro. He did Mechanical Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, India in 1983 and Masters in Management Science (Marketing) from Pune University, India in 1993. Pinaki brings along with him over 29 years of experience in the field of Energy, Environment and Water. He spent 26 years with Thermax Limited working in various functions like After Sales Service, Sales & Marketing , Product Development, new business start-ups, Business Analysis, Business Research and Corporate Strategy. After Thermax, he was head of the industrial water business division of one of the well known water companies in India and also did a stint of Business Strategy Consulting in a leading multi national management consulting company before joining Wipro Water in September 2012.

Pinaki is very close to energy, environment and water related issues of the country. He has been an active member on various Committees of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), both at the Regional and well as National level, advising on issues of Energy Security, Energy Conservation, Demand Side Energy Management, Rural Energy Generation, Rural Electrification and integration of Rural Development to affordable Energy and its integration with Watershed Management of a district. He has presented papers related to Energy Conservation, Cogeneration, Demand Side Management and Energy Policies for the future in several forums in India and abroad, Future Water Scenario for Indian Industries, Water and Waste Water for Indian Industry and its solutions. He has been invited by some of the world bodies like World Alliance for Decentralized Energy (WADE) USA, International Energy Agency (IEA), Paris and Association of Energy Managers (AEM), Czech Republic and European Union to advise them on various energy and environment related policy issues. He was one of the collaborators for the G8 sponsored World CHP initiative through IEA, Paris.
