Important developments pertaining to the MoP&NG during January 2010 Production Domestic crude oil production for the month of December, 2009 was 2.906 Million Metric Tonnes (MMT) as against prorated monthly production target of 3.239 MMT, showing an achievement of 89.7%. Natural gas production for the month of December, 2009 was 4.397 Billion Cubic Metres (BCM) as against prorated monthly production target of 5.078 BCM, showing an achievement of 86.6%. The share of Private / JV companies in natural gas production has surpassed (51.2%) the natural gas production by PSUs viz., ONGC and Oil India Limited in December 2009. While there were no Important Policy Decisions taken in February 2008, some of the important developments - performance pertaining to the sector are : Domestic crude oil production for the month of January, 2008 was 2.885 Million Metric Tonnes (MMT) as against prorated monthly production target of 3.115 MMT, showing an achievement of 92.6%. MoP&NG's Achievements during the last 4 years (2004-2008) Growth of Natural Gas Pipeline Network Commissioned Dahej-Uran Pipeline (DUPL) and Dabhol-Panvel pipeline (DPPL) have been commissioned by GAIL on July 11, 2007. These pipelines would be used to supply Regassified Liquefied Natural Gas (RLNG) to Ratnagiri Gas and Power Private Ltd. (RGPPL), leading to erstwhile Dabhol's revival. Kelaras-Malanpur. Vijaipur-Kota and Jagoti-Pitampur pipelines have been commissioned by GAIL in July 2006, January 2007 and March 2007 respectively.
