Withdraw power tariff hike, peak hour charges: MSMEs

The electricity tariff revision announced by Tangedco at a time when the market for MSMEs started reviving after being hit by the Covid-19 pandemic and policy changes is untimely and unfair, said the manufacturers.While the small-scale units were okay with the periodical revision in industrial electricity tariff, MSMEs opposed the introduction of the peak hour charges and a surge in fixed electricity charges.The associations for MSMEs said that the proposed hike in tariff, particularly, the peak hour charges will force the manufacturing units deprived of fresh work orders to approach Tangedco to reduce the existing electricity load capacity.A few MSMEs have already submitted request letters to Tangedco to reduce their load to escape from th.....
