Rural UP power consumers to get 5 pc rebate for paying bill on time
In a major relief to the power consumers in the rural area in Uttar Pradesh, the state electricity regularity commission has decided to provide five per cent rebate instead of one per cent to those rural consumers who pay their bill within the time limit. The verdict was pronounced by commission chairman Raj Pratap Singh and the two members S K Agarwal and Kaushal Kishore after hearing the power distribution companies. Though the verdict was given by the Commission on December 12 but it was made public on Sunday. With this decision around one million rural consumers who come under LMV-5 in the state will get the benefit.
