Japanese bank to fund West Bengal’s pumped storage project
West Bengal's power distribution company has roped in Japan International Cooperation Agency for a Rs 5,000 crore loan that would part finance its proposed 1000 mw Turga pumped storage project.A loan agreement with the Japanese bank was executed recently and the total project cost has been estimated at Rs 6922 crore. It will come up in the state’s Purulia district at Ayodhya hills.
