Project Status & Background of Tadadi Combined Cycle Power PlantKarnataka Power Corporation
Limited (KPCL) is developing a 3 blocks of 700 MW (Combination of 2 GTGs + 2
HRSGs + 1 STG per block) totaling to 2100 MW capacity located at Tadadi, 47 km
from Karwar along the National Highway-17, Karnataka. Water source is sea water.
Fuel requirement is 2.66 MMTPA at 95% PLF. Land requirement is 600 acres. PPA
entered with ESCOM's on December 18, 2010. The cost of the project is INR 8000
Crore.

Consultancy
services taken for comprehensive study for developing functional specifications
for LNG import terminal engaged. A final decision on the gas linkage will be
taken up after the studies are completed.
