SNDL slapped with Rs1,200/day fine for disconnecting supply
Coming to the rescue of a woman who used to run a flour mill, the Additional District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum slammed the power distribution franchisee — SNDL — for sending her a Rs1.41 lakh bill and later, disconnecting power supply for defaulting on payment.A bench comprising president Shekhar Muley and members — Padma Chandekar and Avinash Prabhune — cancelled the supplementary bill sent to complainant Savita Rokade on May 19, 2016. Before slapping a fine of Rs5,000, the bench told SNDL to immediately restore the supply and till then, pay Rs1,200 per day charges to the complainant.
