Rooftop Solar Power to be Game Changer for Power Utilities
Daljit Singh, a resident of upscale Greater Kailash area of South Delhi, used to spend between Rs 14,000 and Rs 16,000 per month on electricity bills. With the Central government’s solar panel scheme, not only does Singh pay less on electricity bills, as he is producing electricity and consuming it for his personal use. Also later he will have a chance to sell electricity once the power supply grid is integrated.The government has ed 50 municipalities across the country to develop ‘solar cities’.
