India’s Oct captive coal production up 9.7percent m-o-m
India’s coal production from the
allocated captive coal blocks increased by 9.74 percent in October 2017, on a
month-on-month basis.
According to official data,
captive coal production in October 2017 stood at 2.872 million tons (mt),
compared to 2.617 mt in September 2017.
The total production of coal from
the allocated captive coal blocks for the month of October is 2.872 mt
(provisional). Of this, production from coal blocks which have not been
cancelled by the Supreme Court (viz. Tasra, Pakri Barwadih, Moher and Moher
Amlori Extn.) stood at 1.588 mt (provisional).
Total coal production from
captive blocks during 2016-17 stood at 45.973 mt.
