4,000MW power supply in Bihar by year-end: CM
CM Jitan Ram Manjhi has termed power as a priority sector for the development of Bihar and said the state government was expecting supply of 4,000MW electricity by December end this year when it would require 4,100 to 4,200MW power. The state currently gets 2,800MW power. Presenting the state government's annual Report Card on Tuesday, Manjhi said the target was to supply 5,000MW power by 2015 end. "My predecessor Nitish Kumar-ji had taken a resolution that we would not seek votes in the next assembly election if electricity didn't reach every village in Bihar.
