Mangdechhu Hydroelectric
Project (4x180=720MW) in Bhutan (to be developed by NHPC)
A meeting was taken by
Member (Hydro), CEA on 19.02.2009 with NHPC, CWC and GSI to review the progress of
appraisal of DPR (Detailed Project Report) of Mangdechhu Hydro Electric Project.
Following aspects were discussed in the meeting regarding the development of
project.
Hydrology:
It was informed that hydrology
for carrying out Power Potential Studies has been examined by CWC and
comments/observations sent to NHPC. The comments mainly pertain to sedimentation
rate, IMD storm study, assessment of snow melt contribution to PMF and the
detailed calculation of PMF. CE (HPA) mentioned that in their
observations, HSO of CWC have commented......
