It has been nearly a year since the Supreme Court gave Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) the go-ahead to lay pipelines across seven districts of Tamil Nadu (as part of its Kochi-Bengaluru natural gas pipeline project), quashing the state government’s petition against the project.
